What you see online
The online dashboard shows the readings of TAICO Monitor: state of charge, power, voltage and current, every cell with the gap between the highest and the lowest, temperatures, cycles and alarms. Several packs in parallel each get their own line. It refreshes about every two minutes, without port forwarding or VPN.
Switching it on
- On the local dashboard at
http://moniwatt.local, open Settings > Access key & Cloud. - Tick the option, save, and copy the access key.
- Sign in to the Cloud dashboard of this site with your e-mail and paste the key.
Readings appear within two minutes. The box keeps its screen and its local dashboard as before.
During a power cut
The box runs from a USB charger, so it needs power and an internet link to report. Put the charger and the router on the battery’s backup output, and you follow the battery from your phone for the whole cut.
Three years of history
The Cloud keeps up to three years of readings: how deep the battery goes each night, how long it carries the house, how the cells and the temperature follow the seasons. Export any period as CSV, for yourself or for a warranty question.
One e-mail if it goes quiet
After six hours without readings, you get one e-mail. A charger unplugged, a router off or a long cut are the usual causes. One message, until the box is back.
Installer access
Your installer can add your battery to their own account with the access key you share, without your password. You can change the key whenever you like.
Optional and free
No subscription. Readings travel encrypted to a private link that only your key opens. Untick the option and sending stops at once; stored readings are deleted on request.
